Learning outcomes
The subject deals with preventive and production medicine in the herds of sheep and goats .The teaching focuses on prerequisites of optimal production - e.g. welfare. The students learn how to create heard health programs for metabolic health, periparturient health disorders, locomotion problems, mammary gland diseases, infectious and parasitic diseases and diseases of offspring. This all is done preferably from the perspective of the whole herd.

Prerequisites
Subject Sheep and Goats Herd Health and Production Management is superstructural. It's necessary to use knowledge from subjects Internal diseases of ruminants and Gynecology and reproduction. That means that this subject is for students in the fifth year of study. It will be open in the summer semester (2013/2014).
