Learning outcomes
The 2st semester pays attention to the topographic anatomy of the head, neck, trunk, particular organ systems, the bird anatomy and anatomical dissection. The correct terms of particular structures (on anatomical specimens and X-ray images) are emphasized during practical lessons. The understanding of their topographic relations is also important. Students learn to use the basic dissection instruments and to improve the correct anatomical dissection skills.
1. Student understands special anatomical terminology 2. Student is able to describe anatomical structures, recognize differences between individual animal species and be skilled in topographic anatomy 3. Student is able to describe the simple X-ray image of the skull, columna vertebralis, thorax, thoracic and abdominal cavities 4. Student is able to describe, name and use basic anatomical dissection instruments, to know the basic methods of practical dissection

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Practical exam, Practical credit test

Credit conditions: 1. The oral test from the anatomy of the head, neck, trunk and particular organ systems must be succesfully passed 2. The oral test from the central nervous system, anatomy of the eye and the ear, skin and its derivates, topographic anatomy of the head, neck, trunk, thoracic, abdominal and pelvic cavity and the bird anatomy must be succesfully passed 3. No absence at practical trainings
